JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Dispatch Lead

Reports to: Operations Manager

Pay:  D.O.E.

Position: Full - time seasonal

JOB SUMMARY

You will be responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with the Shore excursion managers from each ship, the guests and the staff of this company.  You will be responsible for all dispatching of Amphibian vehicles off the dock to begin scheduled tours.  And assisting Operations Manager with duties associated with the season. 

Job Responsibilities

As the dispatch lead your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. To check in with all shore excursion managers from the cruise lines that we are sold aboard for number of guests scheduled for all tours each day.

1. To make sure that all scheduled guests are aboard the correct departure/DUCK.

1. Maintain constant communications with manager and shore excursion managers from ships.

1. Keep an updated tally of total passengers per departure.

1. Supervise the departure of DUCK boats.

1. Settle tally sheets at designated times given to you by each ship.

1. Other duties as assigned by manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

1. Ability to provide and maintain open communication with Shore excursion managers from cruise lines agencies and Operations Manager. 

1. Skills to deal with difficult passengers and/or situations with grace, professionalism and rational thinking. 

1. Assist guests with questions.

1. Assist with morning scheduling of parking the DUCK Boats.

1. Working knowledge of this area. 

1. Contribute to the professional reputation of the company as a whole.

1. Assist with passengers that need to be taken to the tour.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver's license and a clean driving history.  Have and maintain a positive speaking voice, ability to take reservations, run a credit card machine and to brainstorm when an issue arises.
